Digiabled Empowering Youths With Disabiliy

Digiabled is an initiative to help “Differently Abled” young people become self-reliant. According to the 2011 census, in India approximately 2.21% of the total population is differently abled or have some distortion in them. In India has low literacy, scarcity of employment and widespread social neglect for these people is a big problem. Through Digiabled, we are trying to make livelihood opportunities available for differently abled youths in their village or block level. First they are given basic electronic training. They then work in Self Help Groups and assemble electronic products such as LED bulbs, power banks, solar lamps etc. Digiabled is working as a medium to bring differently abled into mainstream society. At present, differently abled youths from remote places like Jashpur, Sukma are working as a Digiabled Associates.

Differently-abled located in a remote locations find it very difficult to earn sustainable income. Digiabled connects differently-abled to the world and provides them financial independence.
